Lawrence Wayne Porter, 53, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 1996.
Mr. Porter was a field engineer for Lockhead Martin Computer Co. for many years. He was preceded in death by his father, Vivian Lawrence Porter.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth Evelyn Porter of Virginia Beach; his wife, Marcia I. Porter of Maryland; and seven stepchildren.
A visitation will be held Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. in Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel, Virginia Beach. A graveside service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach.
