MARION B. RHODES

Marion Rogerson Benton Rhodes went to her heavenly home on Sunday Aug. 4, 1996.

Marion was born in South Norfolk, on March 14, 1923, to the late William John and Amy Wommack Rogerson. She was predeceased by her beloved of 45 years, Frank Walker Benton. She was a member of South Norfolk Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Robert W. ``Bobby'' Rhodes Jr.; her children, Linda B. Fitzgerald, Dana B. Dekker, and Kevin W. Benton; sisters, Alverna R. Park and Jonnie R. Hoffman; brother, William Horace Rogerson; her grandchildren, Dawn F. Queen, Craig Fitzgerald, Diana Fitzgerald, and Ashley Dekker; and a great-grandson, Andrew Cole Queen; two special grandchildren by marriage, Robbie R. Etheridge and Robert W. ``Buddy'' Rhodes III; two grandchildren, Gigi E. Comer and Ashleigh Etheridge. She leaves many special extended family members, friends, and caregivers.

The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, by the Rev. Frank Hughes Jr. and Pastor Ernest L. Trueblood. Committal will follow in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and also at the residence at other times. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
