Robert Lee Bailey, of the 500 block of Peregrine St., died Aug. 3, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mr. Bailey, a native of Norfolk, worked for the Laborer's Union Local (NU)307 for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Andrea Reid Bailey; a daughter, Almetria Ele' Bailey of Virginia Beach; two sons, Octavius Lloyd Bailey of Virginia Beach, Mark Carter of Norfolk; his mother, Muriel Rivers Bailey; six sisters, Laverne Scott, Gwendolyn Hawkins, Joella Mayo, Barbara Simpson, all of Norfolk, Diane Merritt of Virginia Beach and Marlene Wright of Chesapeake; two grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday by Bishop John Gimenez in Rock Church, Kempsville Road. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at 1607 Conoga St. Graves Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
