Ruby P. Walker, 101, formerly of Portsmouth, died Monday Aug. 5, 1996, in the Eastern Star Home of Virginia, Richmond.
She was a longtime member of Cradock United Methodist Church and was past worthy matron of Victory Chapter No. 16 O.E.S.
She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn P. Turner; son-in-law, George D. Turner; grandson, Dr. Robert T. Turner of Richmond; a niece, Ruth B. Barrett; nephew, William Beasley; great-nephew, William D. Barrett and his family of Portsmouth.
A graveside service with Eastern Star rites will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth. Memorial contributions may be made to Cradock United Methodist Church, Portsmouth, or the Eastern Star Home of Virginia. Arrangements by the central chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, Richmond.
