A General District Court judge certified capital murder, abduction, robbery and firearms charges Tuesday against a 22-year-old man accused in the shooting death of a Portsmouth man in January.
Judge Archie Elliott certified a total of 10 charges against Anthony ``Mardi Ellis'' Wynn, of the 1300 block of Effingham St. Wynn, who was arrested in June in the Ghent section of Norfolk, is charged with the Jan. 23 murder of Mark Anthony Holley.
Holley, 29, of the first block of Swanson Parkway, was the city's first homicide victim of the year. His body was found by police in the 1600 block of South Street.
