William Clarkson Deaderick, 48, died during July 1996, in his residence.
Mr. Deaderick, a native of Norfolk, was a sheet metal mechanic at Nadep. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. He was active in Wards Corner Little League as a coach for the Cardinals. He was awarded the following medals during the Vietnam War: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commedation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal. He served as a marksman for two overseas bars.
Survivors include a daughter, Shannon M. Deaderick of Norfolk; two sisters, Shelby D. Fryman of Norfolk, Louise D. Lavey of Chesapeake; two brothers, Anthony E. Deaderick of Philadelphia, Pa., David H. Deaderick of Myrtle Beach, S.C. He was predeceased by a brother, Sam C. Deaderick.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
