Woodruff John Parker, 70, of the 100 block of Dennis Drive, died Aug. 5, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Parker, the widower of Frances K. Parker, was a native of Chicago. He retired from Zenith Radio as a personnel director. He was a docent at Bacons Castle in Surry, Va. He was on the board of directors for Child Development Resources and a part-time teacher at Thomas Nelson Community College in the Continuing Education Department.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol A. Parker of Virginia Beach; and a sister, Ann E. Parker of Chicago.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 1996, in Child Development Resources, Lightfoot, Va. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, Ill., at a later date. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is in charge.
