Lloyd G. Summerville, 62, of the 2900 block of Sir Meliot Drive, died Aug. 7, 1996, in his residence.
Mr. Summerville retired honorably from the U.S. Navy after 24 years. He retired after 23 years of faithful service from Tidewater Regional Transit. He received the safe driving award after 15 years of safe driving.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Thomas Steele in New First Baptist Church, Taylorsville, Portsmouth. Burial with military honors will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at 2937 Sir Meliot Drive at 1:15 p.m. for the procession to the church. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Serenity Funeral Home, Portsmouth.
