Carl Franklin Arrington, 59, of the 700 block of Earl St., died Aug. 9, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mr. Arrington, a native of Oceana, W.Va., retired from U.S. Navy in 1974 after 20 years. He retired from Public Works Center, Naval Base after 20 years. He was a member of Fleet Reserve Association Branch (NU)60, and V.F.W. in Huntsville, Ala.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce A. Arrington; two daughters, Susan A. Flores and Donna J. Sublett, both of Norfolk; two sons, David L. Arrington and Richard A. Arrington, both of Norfolk; two sisters, Barbara Blevins of Lynco, W.Va., and Janice Mullens of Indiantown, Fla.; two brothers, William Arrington of Huntsville, Ala., Walter Arrington of Lynco, W.Va.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service and Fleet Reserve service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be sent to American Cancer Society.
