Raymond Julius Britt Sr., 76, of the 1800 block of Garrett St., died Aug. 9, 1996.
Mr. Britt, a native of Portsmouth, retired from N.N.S.Y. as an electrician. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 22 Moose Lodge. He was the son of the late Maude Parks Britt and the late Harvey J. Britt Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Allie E. Britt; two stepdaughters, Judy Lowe of Jacksonville, Fla., and Lee Morse of Sacramento, Calif.; a son, Raymond J. Britt Jr. of Portsmouth; a sister, Ida Lucille Bittle of Chesapeake; two brothers, Arthur B. Britt Sr. of Portsmouth and Harvey J. Britt Jr. of North Carolina; and a grandchild, Raymond J. Britt III.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Frank D. Howlett in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. to receive friends.
