Nita Royal, 79, of the 2500 block of Elon Drive, died Aug. 9, 1996.
Mrs. Royal was a native of Charlotte, N.C. She was a member of the Chesopian Colony Garden Club and numerous weekday bridge clubs.
She is survived by her husband, Walter of 57 years; her children, Judith, Larry, and Scott; her grandchildren, Carter, David, Jason, Brandon and Meghan; her great-grandchildren, Colin and Annie; her daughters and granddaughters by marriage, Linda, Chris, Mimi, and Kristy; and a circle of treasured friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday Aug. 12, 1996 in Princess Anne Memorial Park in Virginia Beach by Dr. Paul B. Watlington Jr. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, and in honor of her devotion to family, Scholarship fund donations for her grandson are appreciated, c/o Womens Family Therapy Center 3145 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, 23452.
