Marie Costello Pearte, 84, a native of Portsmouth, died Aug. 11, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
She was the widower of George W. Pearte and was a Protestant.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn M. McKinley of Portsmouth; a sister, Helen Marshall of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m.
