Sharmon Yvette White Edmonds, 22, of the 2800 block of Bayne Ave., departed this life Friday, Aug. 16, 1996, to go home to her heavenly Father. She died in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
A native of Norfolk, she was a senior accounting major at Norfolk State University. Although she was only here for a very short time she was a joy to all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, Lamont Cleveland Edmonds; her parents, Brenda L. Jackson, and Walter A. White of Norfolk; parents-in-law, Grove and Dottie Edmonds of Norfolk; stepmother, Glenda C. White of Norfolk; stepfather, Lindell Jackson of Norfolk; sisters, Lorraine D. Thomas and Sharenda A. Lavis of Norfolk; a brother, Wesley A. White; a stepbrother, Shawn A. White and Ronald W. Lewis Jr.; stepsisters, Glenae C. White and Teiona L. White; brothers-in-law, Lauren, Lamar and Lavar; sisters-in-law, Laurra and Lavonne of Norfolk; grandparents, Lloyd M. Jones, Frances Jones, Elise Manley, Bessie J. Fields and Mary L. Edmonds; her adopted sister and best friend, Portia Welch; and a host of other family and friends.
Her homegoing service will be conducted at noon Tuesday in New Rising Sun Baptist Church by the Rev. Marcellus Scott. Burial be will in Roosevelt Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be Monday in Metropolitan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 2609 Bayne Ave., Norfolk. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
