J. Lee Ransone, 49, died Aug. 17, 1996.
Born in Hampton, he was the store manager of Rent to Own. Mr. Ransone was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Thea Marie Ransone; a daughter, Helen Ransone of Portsmouth; a father, Julian C. Ransone and stepmother, Mildred I. Ransone of Virginia Beach; a stepsister, Carol Ford of south Colton, N.Y.; two stepbrothers, Thomas Foster of Aydlette, N.C, and Michael Foster of Norfolk.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Randall Childress. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
