Virginia Moore Hurst, of Chesopeian Colony, died Aug. 17, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mrs. Hurst was a native of Columbus, Miss., and the daughter of the late Edward Swoope Moore and Alice Hairston Moore. Mrs. Hurst was the youngest of 11 children. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach; Chesopeian Colony Garden Club; Cavalier Golf and Yacht Club and various bridge clubs.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff D. Hurst of Virginia Beach and her daughter, Ann Hurst Wood and her husband, Stuart, and 2 granddaughters, Ashley M. and Amy M. Wood, all of Naples, Fla.
A church service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, 1996, at First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach by the Rev. Georgianna Brabban Johnson.
A graveside services will be in New Park Cemetery Fort Gaines, Ga. Friday, August 23, 1996 at 11:00 a.m.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Laskin Road Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church Flower Fund or to the Building Fund, 36th Street and Pacific Ave., Virginia Beach, Va. 23451.
