Linda Raiford Respess, 46, of the 32000 block of Vicksville Road, died Aug. 17, 1996, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Respess was a native of Franklin and was the daughter of Bernice Lowe Raiford and the late Hubert R. Raiford. She was a 1967 graduate of Southampton High School and was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church.
Besides her mother, she is survived by a sister, Wendy L. Raiford of Franklin; a brother, Donald R. Raiford and his wife, Sue Ann, of Sedley; a niece, Amy Raiford of Gaithersburg, Md.; a nephew, Ron Whitley of Sedley; and several devoted aunts, uncles and cousins.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at Black Creek Baptist Church by the Revs. Wayne Underwood and Willis Switzer. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley. The family will receive friends at the residence and suggests that memorials may be made to Black Creek Baptist Church, 34163 Vicksville Road, Franklin, Va. 23851. Wright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
