Victor Delpiero Sr., 89, of the 300 block of York St., died Aug. 16, 1996, in Obici Hospital.
Born in Trieste, Italy, he was a Roman Catholic and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Delpiero was a retired foreman for Planters Peanuts after 32 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Veronia ``Betty'' Evans Delpiero; a daughter, Betty D. Grant and son-in-law, Buddy Grant of Suffolk; a son, Victor Delpiero Jr. and daughter-in-law, Judi F. Delpiero of Suffolk; five grandchildren, Karen Sadler Vigil and husband, Michael, Cpl. David A. Sadler, Victoria A. Delpiero, Jason Delpiero and Timothy Delpiero.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Hill Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Clyde D. Nuckols Sr. Burial will be in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Smithfield.
