ERMA L. GRIER

Erma Lee Grier, 70, of the 900 block of Craig St., died Aug. 15, 1996.

She was a member of St. Thomas AMEZ Church, Norfolk, as a member of stewardess and deaconess board, choir (NU)2, choir union (NU)4, and as a lifetime member of the Woman's Home and Overseas Missionary Society.

Survivors include her husband, John W. Grier; three daughters, Erma Staton of Chesapeake, Constance Overton of Virginia Beach and Susie Grier of Norfolk; a son, Byron Grier of Virginia Beach; six sisters, Ruth Reid, May Richardson, Ann Walker, Pearline Brown, Roxanne Fuller, all of Norfolk, Flossie Branchcomb of Chesapeake; four brothers, James Fuller, Benjamin Fuller, Clifford Fuller, Earl Fuller, all of Norfolk; seven grandchildren, Teresa Staton of Portsmouth, Andre Staton of Virginia Beach, Monica Overton-Robinson of Virginia Beach, Mia Overton of Virginia Beach, Shauna Grier and Ryan Grier, both of Chesapeake, Marcus Sumpter of Virginia Beach; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Susie Fuller.

A funeral will be held at noon Monday in St. Thomas AMEZ Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. G.L. Scott. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Pretlow and Sons' Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is handling arrangements.
