Nebraska ``Brad'' Williams, of the 900 block of Albert Ave., died Aug. 15, 1996, in Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.
Born in Emporia, Mr. Williams was a retired brakeman of Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was a member of the deacon board and former member of the male chorus of Mount Gilead Baptist Church in Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Julia A. Williams; two daughters, Ms. Bonita Williams of San Antonio and Ms. Janice Williams of Virginia Beach; five sisters, Mrs. Mary KcKnight, Mrs. Irene Jones, Mrs. Beatrice Evans, all of Emporia, Mrs. Arigo Jordan of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Nuray Cauley of Norfolk; a brother, Herbert Williams of Baltimore; and several other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Mrs. Bessie Williams and Johnnie Williams.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Mount Gilead Baptist Church, Norfolk, by Dr. Raymond Dean, Pastor. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Garden, Norfolk. Family and friends will assemble at the residence Tuesday at noon for the procession to the church. Viewing after the service will be in the vestibule. T.E. Cooke-Twilight Funeral Home Inc. is handling arrangements.
