ALVIN M. STENZEL

Alvin Milton Stenzel, 80, of the 7700 block of Dunfield Place, died Aug. 17, 1996, in a local hospital.

Mr. Stenzel, a native of Rochester, N.Y., was the widower of Mildred Fleming Stenzel. He worked as the director of Special Education for the Norfolk School System for many years. He was a former member of 30 years of Cradock Baptist Church and more recently was a member of Talbot Park Baptist Church in Norfolk.

Survivors include two sons, Alvin M. Stenzel Jr. of Bethesda, Md., and Thomas E. Stenzel of Alexandria, Va.; three grandchildren; and a special friend, Ruth Edwards.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Talbot Park Baptist Church by Dr. Tim Dixon and the Rev. Keith Martin. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, from 6 to 7 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Talbot Park Baptist Church in Norfolk.
