Melva Ives, 85, died Aug. 18, 1996.
She was a native of Princess Anne County and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Ives was preceded in death by her parents, Linwood Bonney and Nettie Whitehurst Gaskins and her husband, Milton G. Ives.
She is survived by a first cousin, Loyce Mae Fentress of Virginia Beach.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall Chapel, Virginia Beach. The services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be immediately following in Charity Neck Cemetery in Pungo.
