Eva Mae McClease Roscoe Cowell, known to her friends as Eva Mae, of 319 Reilly St., Tidewater Garden's, passed away on Aug. 19, 1996, in Norfolk General Hospital. She was 61. She was a native of Norfolk.
She is survived by her husband, Leon Cowell; her beloved and only daughter, Valorie D. Roscoe of Norfolk; four sons, Silas McClease of Baltimore, Md., Maxwell Simpson of Norfolk, Edward D. Roscoe of Chesapeake, and Glenn Roscoe of South Carolina; and mother-in-law, Nannie Cowell of Chesapeake; also 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her eldest son, Linwood Freeman Jr.
Eva Mae leaves behind so many beloved and devoted relatives, who will dearly miss her, and a lifetime of wonderful friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday by the Rev. G.G. Campbell in New Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Graves Funeral Home is in charge. The family will assemble at the residence. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
