Shirley M. George, 66, of the 3400 block of Pamlico Circle, died Aug. 22, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
A native of Norfolk, she retired as a secretary for the American Cancer Society after 20 years of service.
Survivors include two daughters, Tamera L. Olsen of Norfolk, Cheri M. George of Atlanta, Ga.; two sons, Glenn D. George of Smyrna, Ga., James V. George Jr. of Norcross, Ga.; a brother, W. Paul Sanderlin of Norfolk; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by Deacon James McGee. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m in the funeral home today. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
