Irene W. Haley, 65, died Aug. 26, 1996.
Born in Frackville, Pa., she was a homemaker and member of Little Creek Amphibious Base Chapel. She was very active in St. Gregory's Catholic Church in the past years. Also she was a member of Legion of Mary's at St. Gregory's Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert ``Bob'' A. Haley; six daughters, Patricia Haley of Virginia Beach, Martina Grimm of Blaine, Minn.; Paula H. Lake of Portsmouth; Marybeth Haley Schumann of Hawaii, Jacqueline Haley of Arlington, Va., Krystal Mallon of Philadelphia, Pa.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Regina Haley.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in Little Creek Amphibious Base Chapel by Father Joseph A. Ceriello. Burial will be in St. Joseph Church Cemetery, Frackville. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, where the family will remain until 9 p.m. to greet friends. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, Virginia Beach Unit, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513.
