Robert Arthur Grant, 61, of the 3400 block of Arlington Place, died Aug. 28, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Born in New York City, he was the widower of Marjorie Grant. Mr. Grant was a retired electronic's mechanic leader in Shop (NU)67 of Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was member of Hodges Ferry Presbyterian Church, Moose Lodge (NU)898, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the U.S. Ticonderoga Association C.V.A. 14.
Survivors include a son, Robert William Grant of Portsmouth; two brothers, Mike Grant and Pat Grant, both of Chesapeake.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Richard W. Lovingood. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m today in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association.
