I was saddened to the very core of my heart and soul to hear about the terrible fire that destroyed much of Virginia Beach's Farmer's Market. I was just a 9-year-old boy when we moved to Virginia Beach. My mother and I made many trips for fresh vegetables, fruits and ice cream to the market. I remember picking out my first Halloween pumpkin there!
Even though I'm grown now and a junior at ODU, I hope to bring my children to the Farmer's Market some day and I hope the city of Virginia Beach will rebuild this historic landmark for many more generations to enjoy.
