ELIZABETH R. WYATT

Mrs. Elizabeth Ray. Wyatt, 86, of 126 Raleigh Drive, died Aug. 29, 1996, in the home of her son, Ernest Ray Wyatt, at 3221 Holland Road.

She was the widow of James Finnie Wyatt Sr., and the daughter of the late Charles and Jane Ray. Mrs. Wyatt was predeceased by a son, Richard Wyatt, and a grandson, Glenn James. She was Baptist. She was a native of Bertie County, N.C.

Survivors include four daughters, Dora J. Willis and son-in-law, Thomas ``Runt'' Willis of Chesapeake, Ora Jean Jernigan with whom she made her home for 13 years, Iris ``Butch'' Jones, and Brenda W. Byrum and son-in-law, Wayne P. Byrum, all of Suffolk; four sons, James Finnie Wyatt Jr. and daughter-in-law, Delores Wyatt of Downy, Calif., Shelton D. Wyatt of Portsmouth, Ernest R. ``Pee Wee'' Wyatt and daughter-in-law, Linda Wyatt, and R. Michael ``Mike'' Wyatt and daughter-in-law, Mary Wyatt, all of Suffolk; daughter-in-law, Peggy Wyatt of Hobbsville, N.C.; sister, Gertrude Babb of Hampton; sister-in-law, Mattie Ray of Suffolk; two stepsisters; a stepbrother; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and other faithful and devoted relatives and friends.

The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Cecil Deel. Visitation will be at the Hill Funeral Home Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the home of Ernest Wyatt. Donations may be made to the Obici Oncology Care Fund, P.O.
