Harold L. ``Shorty'' Anglen, 69, died Sept. 1, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mr. Anglen was born in Broken Bow, Okla., and later moved to Norfolk. He was Protestant by faith. He was a member of the Papillion Masonic Lodge (NU)39, AF & AM, a member of the Muscogee/Creek Indian Nation. He worked with the District (NU)8 Little League Baseball for over 35 years and also participated in the Challenger Division of the league.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Thelma Anglen, and his wife, Alice Kennedy Anglen. He is survived by two sons, Dennis R. and Terry L. Anglen of Norfolk; two brother, Tracy Anglen of Deerfield Beach, Fla. and Paul Anglen of Kansas City, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
Friends are invited to attend a graveside service in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be officiated by the Rev. John Shappell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Little League Baseball District (NU)8 Challenger Program for Handicapped Children, 5112 Bellows Lane, Virginia Beach, Va. 23455. Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
