Viola Haydon Lumpkin, 104, died on Aug. 28, 1996.
A native of Irvington, Va., she became a resident of Norfolk two years ago.
Mrs. Lumpkin is survived by a son, Dr. William Latane Lumpkin, pastor emeritus of the Freemason Baptist Church of Norfolk; also by three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service was held on Aug. 31, 1996 in the Irvington Baptist Church.
