A 67-year-old man who was found dead on Aug. 27 has been identified.
Police said Friday that a family member of the victim reported him missing Thursday. The description given by the relative matched that of the dead man, and a positive identification was made Friday.
Police identified the man as William L. Scellato of the 9500 block of 18th Bay St.
Ronald N. Howard, 23, of the 9500 block of 21st Bay St. has already been charged with beating the victim to death.
