Dr. William Elvin Hutchins, 97, of the 4400 block of Faigle Road, died Sept. 9, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Dr. Hutchins, a native of Portsmouth, was retired as a podiatrist after 61 years of practice. He was a life member of the American Podiatry Medical Association and was a member of Monumental United Methodist Church. He was a member of Seaboard Masonic Lodge 56; Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies; and Khedive Temple Shrine.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Culpepper Hutchins.
A graveside funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday by the Rev. Raymond H. Edmonds in Olive Branch Cemetery. Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is handling arrangements.
