On Sept. 11, 1996, our loving father, Ezra M. Vann Sr. joined his wife of 53 years, Teeny, in heaven where he can now sing praises to his Lord face to face.
Ezra was raised near Ahoskie, N.C., and moved to Virginia Beach in 1945 where he worked for Yoder Dairies. When he retired in 1983, he returned to Ahoskie and enjoyed his church, his golfing, his fishing, and his friends and family.
He is survived by five children, nine grandchildren, a great-grandchild, three brothers, two sisters, and many other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at Brantley's Grove Baptist Church in Ahoskie, Saturday, Sept. 14, 1996, at 10 a.m. His family has requested that donations be made in his honor to Roanoke Chowan Hospice, P.O. Box 272, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910.
