Though I did not vote for him, I was still surprised at Sen. Robb's opposition to the Defense of Marriage bill, which, far from banning homosexual marriage, simply grants states the freedom not to recognize it.
Robb's opposition to this very modest legislation tells me that he has finally taken his place at the far left of the political spectrum and at the very bottom of the intellectual ladder. His banal ranting about the moral equivalency of interracial and homosexual marriage is evidence of a distraction of mind rarely found in competent individuals.
Will he next be proclaiming that laws against polygamy unfairly discriminate against polygamists? He probably won't have the time, for his voters will surely put an end to his mindless outbursts.
