Wilton C. Pearce, 90, of the 500 block of Woodford St., died Sept. 21, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
A native of Pinetown, N.C., Mr. Pearce was a contractor and member of Hyde Park Freewill Baptist Church. He also was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Blanche A. Pearce; his daughter, Jane P. O'Connor of Norfolk; sons, Wayne Pearce of Chesapeake and Wilton A. Pearce of Suffolk; sisters, Jewel Chaplin of Doylestown, Pa., and Marjorie Mizell of Plymouth, N.C.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Terry Beck and the Rev. Roscoe Ange. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Hope Haven Children's Home.
