Walter David Cartwright Jr., 49, of the 1200 block of Swallow Drive, died Sept. 20, 1996.
Mr. Cartwright was a bus mechanic for Virginia Beach schools for 12 years and was a native of Princess Anne County. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his mother, Alma Oldaker Cartwright of Virginia Beach; sisters, Vicky K. Cartwright and Eleanor C. Allison, both of Virginia Beach, and Cindy C. Faucette of Woodbine, Md.; and a brother, A. Lee Oldaker Jr. of Suffolk; and several aunts and uncles.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Fredrick H. Stegemann in Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Avenue Chapel. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
