Carlton Bradford ``Brad'' Gillam, 36, of the 200 block of Coniotte Road, died Sept. 21, 1996, in Pitt Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Bertie County, and a member of Saint Thomas Episcopal Church. Mr. Gillam attended Roanoke Chowan Academy, Woodberry Forest School, Atlantic Christian College and was a graduate of N.C. State School of Agriculture.
He is survived by his parents, Carlton Goodchild ``Bro Dick'' and Lucy Outlaw Gillam of Windsor; two sisters, Nancy Gillam Spruill and Victoria Gillam Leggett, both of Windsor; a niece, Nancy Brimage Gillam Spruill of Folly Beach, S.C., and three nephews, Wayland Outlaw Spruill, Daniel Alexander Leggett and William Outlaw Leggett, all of Windsor.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Liberty Hall on Indian Woods Road, by the Revs. Barbara and Tom Chaffee. The family will receive friends at the home of his parents, 702 Gatling St. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 302 S. Queen St., Windsor, N.C. 27983; the Bertie County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 74, Windsor, N.C. 27983 or to the charity of choice. Walker Funeral Home is in charge.
