Marie Boogades Parker, 66, of the 900 block of Thousand Oaks Drive, died Sept. 24, 1996, in her home.
Mrs. Parker was born in Norfolk. She was the widow of Thomas L. Parker. Mrs. Parker was a member of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation in Norfolk. She was a member of the Tidewater Shag Club. She retired from the Civil Service with 25 years of service.
Survivors include a daughter, Deidre P. Darling and her husband, Tom, of Virginia Beach; a son, William T. Parker and his partner, Andy Bukowski, of Norfolk; a sister, Nellie Bradshaw of Chesapeake; and a brother, Nick Boogades of Virginia Beach.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 1996, at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation by Father Constantine Rogakos. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk. A Trisagion service will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 7 p.m. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
