Major Monette Charity of Manteo pleaded guilty Monday to four felony charges stemming from the Season's Greetings drug bust last December.
Superior Court Judge J. Richard Parker sentenced him to 16 months in jail.
Charity pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and deliver; two counts of sale and delivery of a controlled substance, and one count of maintaining a dwelling for purposes of selling a controlled substance. All are felonies.
Originally, Charity was charged with two additional counts of possession, one additional count of sale and delivery and one charge of conspiracy to sell and deliver.
Charity was rounded up in the Season's Greeting sting last December after a four-month undercover operation. He was one of 49 arrested in the largest raid to date in the Albemarle area. by CNB
