Howard E. Moore, 77, of the 100 block of 33rd St., died Sept. 12, 1996.
Born in Greenville, N.C., he was a retired sanitation worker for the city of Norfolk. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Moore was a recipient of two Bronze Stars and served in France and the Far East.
Survivors include a brother, Charlie J. Moore of Norfolk; a nephew, William Lee Moore; a niece, Shirley Moore; a host of grandnieces and nephews, caretaker and cousin, Annie L. Smith, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at noon Saturday in Hale Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday in the chapel. Family and friends will assemble at 1275 Tide-water Drive at 11 a.m. Saturday for the procession to the funeral chapel. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
