Helen Brown Pearce, 75, of the 500 block of Memorial Drive, died Sept. 26, 1996, at her home.
A native of Bertie County, N.C., she was the widow of Barton Brinkley Pearce Jr. She was a retired nurse's aide and homemaker. Mrs. Pearce was a member of Ahoskie First Baptist Church, Ahoskie, and attended Roanoke Chowan Community College.
Survivors include a daughter, Malinda P. Parker of Williamston, N.C.; a son, Barton Z. Pearce of Fuquay Varina, N.C.; a sister, Panzy Storey of Murfreesboro, N.C.; four brothers, Howard Brown and Lonnie Brown, both of Colerain, N.C., Dr. J.B. Brown of Ahoskie, Coy Brown of Roxobel, N.C.; three grandchildren, Scott T. Parker and Brad D. Parker, both of Williamston, N.C., and Lorin Renee Pearce of Fuquay Varina.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, by Dr. Jesse J. Croom. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie. Memorial donations may be made to Roanoke Chowan Hospice, P.O. Box 272, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910.
