The Norfolk Planning Commission voted 5-1, not 6-1, against a
plan for a Salvation Army homeless shelter, as reported in Friday's
MetroNews section. One of the commission's seven members was absent.
Wayne Jones is a lay minister for Temple of Christ in Norfolk,
not for the Faith Deliverance Christian Center, as reported in a
Sept. 22 MetroNews story about a citizens conference in Norfolk.
Norview United Methodist Church will be one of the participants
in the Norview community march today. A story in Friday's MetroNews
section had the church's name wrong.
Sen. Charles S. Robb, D.-Va., opposed the Defense of Marriage
Act, a law denying federal recognition of same-sex marriages. A
