Gabriele ``Gaby'' Monch Shelton, 50, of 7283 Moonlight Road, died Sept. 27, 1996, at home.
Mrs. Shelton was born in Bad Kissingen, Germany, and was the daughter of Ludwig Monch and the late Charlotte Monch. She was co-owner, with her husband, and operator of The Bookhaven in Suffolk and Franklin. She attended Bethany United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Wayne Shelton; two sons, Benjamin Johann Shelton and Christopher Garnett Shelton, both of the home; two sisters, Brigitte Wohning of Bad Kissingen, Germany and Ursela Zoll of Hammelburg, Germany; two brothers, Dieter Monch of Bad Kissingen, Germany and Joachim Monch of Munich, Germany; her father and mother-in-law, Garnett and Katherine Shelton of Bumpass, Va.; many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Bethany United Methodist Church by the Rev. John Robert Jones. The family suggests that memorials be made to a favorite charity. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is in charge.
