Morris Hemingway Housel of Sea Oats Trail died at Albemarle Hospital on Sept. 27, 1996.
A native of Williamsport, Pa., he was born on May 25, 1917. He attended Susquehanna University and was a veteran of World War II. He was retired from Magnavox and Sony Corp.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah; his daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Bradley Buff of Raleigh, N.C.; his son, William Flittie of Vadnais Heights, Minn.; a sister, Helen Winter, of Warrenton, Va.; a stepsister, Fairfax Lomonosoff of Santa Cruz, Calif.; five grandchildren, Warren, David, Adam and Laura Buff of Raleigh, and Laura Flittie of Vadnais Heights. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris H. Housel and Emily R. Thomson; and a stepsister, Catherine Lively.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 1996, in Duck United Methodist Church. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo, is handling arrangements.
