Mrs. Hazel Layne Roye, 79, of Richmond, formerly of Virginia Beach and the widow of Louis W. Roye Sr., died Friday Sept. 27, 1996.
Mrs. Roye was a member of Thalia Baptist Church, Virginia Beach.
She is survived by two daughters; Carol Roye Kirlin of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Beverley Roye Jarrett of Tampa, Fla.; a son, Louis W. Roye Jr. of Mocksville, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Woody Funeral Home, E. Laburnum Ave., Richmond. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Richmond. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Memorial gifts may be made to Masonic Home of Virginia, 4101 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, Va. 23223.
