On Monday, Sept. 23, about 11:29 a.m., the Crestar Bank branch at the Williamsburg Shopping Center in the 100 block of Monticello Ave. was robbed.
The suspect is described as a white man, about 35, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 185 pounds.
Officials suspect he is not from the Williamsburg area.
The investigation is being conducted by Williamsburg police and the FBI.
Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 455-0100 or Williamsburg police at 220-2331.
On Sept. 6, children playing in the area of the Effingham Street onramp to Interstate 264 found the body of Waverly Cameron Jr.
He appeared to have been shot at least once. The body apparently had been there for several weeks.
Special agent James A. Huddle of the Virginia State Police is handling the case because the body was found on state property. Portsmouth
On Monday, Sept. 9, about 9:30 p.m., a woman walking home from a grocery store was attacked and raped behind a row of townhouses in the 3500 block of Shawn Court in the Green Run section.
The suspect is described as black with a dark complexion, in his late teens to early 20s, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 160 pounds, with a muscular build. He had short hair and wore a white T-shirt with ``Nike'' on the front and faded blue jeans with the right pant leg pulled up.
He was last seen running on Rosemont Road. Virginia Beach
On Friday, Aug. 30, at 4 p.m. the First Virginia Bank branch in the 3100 block of Virginia Beach Blvd. at Kings Grant Road was robbed.
Pictures were taken during the robbery.
The suspect is described as black, in his 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 185 pounds with a muscular build. He had a mustache and short black hair; he wore a light blue, long-sleeve shirt, faded jeans, a black baseball cap with a symbol on the front, and sunglasses. Hampton
On Sept. 9, at 1:16 a.m., two men robbed the Chanello's Pizza shop in the 3800 block of Kecoughtan Road.
One of the men had a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The men then ran out of the store.
The first suspect is described as black, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a dark coat, blue jeans and a knit mask.
