Elizabeth ``Lib'' Golay Boyden, 83, died Sept. 29, 1996, at an Elizabeth City hospital.
Mrs. Boyden was born in Pensacola, Fla., and was a retired manager for the Manor Motel in Nags Head, N.C., and a homemaker. She was a life member of the Nags Head Surf Fishing Club and an original founding member of the North Carolina Sea Hags Fishing Club. She was the daughter of the late Albert A. Golay and the late Grace Robertson Golay and the wife of the late F.L. (Fritz) Boyden.
Survivors include her daughter, Margaret (Kuchie) Scott and son-in-law, Ronnie Scott of Nags Head; a sister, Claire Hoelzel of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, James A. Golay of Orlando, Fla.; two grandchildren, Joe White of Asheville, N.C., and Bill White of El Paso, Texas; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Redeemer Catholic Church by Fr. Terrence Collins. The family will receive friends at the home of Ronnie and Kuchie Scott, 2609 Pilot Lane, Nags Head. Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, is in charge.
