Joseph B. Duck, 85, of the 8100 block of Diggs Road died Oct. 1, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Born in Franklin, Va., he was retired from the U.S. Navy Public Works Center, Norfolk, with over 31 years of combined military and civilian service. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Europe during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Fannie Lee Duck; a great-nephew, Greg Edwards of Virginia Beach; and other family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Jess Jackson. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
