THOMAS H. WIGGINS

Thomas Harold Wiggins, 71, of 1761 S. Cherry Grove Road, died Oct. 1, 1996.

A native of Gates County, N.C., he was a son of the late Charlie Edward and Adelaide Riddick Wiggins and was predeceased by his first wife, Viola Bryant Wiggins. He was a World War II Army veteran and was the retired owner and operator of T.H. Wiggins Co., Inc. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Suffolk Elks Lodge (NU)685.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy Klingmeyer-Wiggins; three sisters, Ruth W. White of Suffolk, Clara W. Page, Catherine W. Merz, both of Richmond; four brothers, Charlie Edward Wiggins Jr. of Lakeland, Fla., Herbert (Pete) Wiggins, J.B. Wiggins, Horace R. Wiggins, all of Suffolk; many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Steve Siegrist. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 902 Pennsylvania Ave., Suffolk, Va. 23434 or the American Heart Association, 360 Southport Circle, Suite 104, Virginia Beach, Va. 23452.
