Thomas Harold Wiggins, 71, of 1761 S. Cherry Grove Road, died Oct. 1, 1996.
A native of Gates County, N.C., he was a son of the late Charlie Edward and Adelaide Riddick Wiggins and was predeceased by his first wife, Viola Bryant Wiggins. He was a World War II Army veteran and was the retired owner and operator of T.H. Wiggins Co., Inc. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Suffolk Elks Lodge (NU)685.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy Klingmeyer-Wiggins; three sisters, Ruth W. White of Suffolk, Clara W. Page, Catherine W. Merz, both of Richmond; four brothers, Charlie Edward Wiggins Jr. of Lakeland, Fla., Herbert (Pete) Wiggins, J.B. Wiggins, Horace R. Wiggins, all of Suffolk; many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Steve Siegrist. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home.
