WOMAN FOUND DEAD

Police late Tuesday began investigating the death of a woman found in the northbound lanes of Granby Street near the Forest Lawn cemetery.

Investigators said they weren't sure what happened to the woman. They said it could have been an accident, a suicide or a homicide.

Police were questioning the driver of a white pickup truck stopped near the body. Investigators said they were trying to determine if the woman was hit by the truck or if she had been a passenger in it.

The woman appeared to be in her 30s. Her name was not available. The body will be sent to the Norfolk crime lab for an autopsy.
