Nothing from our senator or his opponent. Nothing from our governor. Nothing from journalistic watchdogs. Frankly, I am both shocked and saddened.
A news article reported that the Goals 2000 funds refused (with some justification in my own mind) by the state of Virginia had been redistributed to the other 49 states. If they got their ``fair share'' in the first place, what justifies this windfall?
We have a deficit. My state chose to pay more of its own way, and I object to increasing our national deficit. Where were the watchdogs, and if they were napping, where were their watchers?
